Do you want to help shape the future of marine solutions?
In this role, you will have overall responsibility for the design area and lead the work in projects together with your two colleagues. You will become a central player in the collaboration between engineering, production, and sales, from early stages to finished product. You will have close proximity to our element factory, which manufactures marine concrete elements for advanced floating structures, with innovation and precision at the core.
About the role
As a Lead Designer, you work in a project-based manner where you are responsible for driving and distributing the design work within the team. You support the sales organization in early stages with technical solutions and calculations for quotations. Subsequently, you are responsible for producing uniform, high-quality, and production-adapted drawing documentation for our pontoon production, ensuring that these follow current drawing rules and standards.
You base your work from our office in Wallhamn and work close to production, serving as a natural link between the design office and the factory floor, where you ensure that the solutions work in practice. The role also involves leading and coordinating work in a small team, where you distribute tasks and drive the work forward, focusing on quality, efficiency, and development.
What does Lars Gustafsson, Production Manager, say about the role and the company?
"With a background as a factory manager and CEO within prefabricated concrete products, I was attracted by SF Marina's strong growth and ambition to continue developing. After three months at the company, I can say that it is inspiring to be part of the development process that SF Marina is going through.
We constantly face new challenges that we solve together, and no day is like the other. It is a fantastic team with great engagement and a desire to develop, which creates a very good atmosphere. Here, you really want to be involved and contribute to solving the tasks."
Your profile
For the role of Lead Designer, we are looking for you who combine strong technical competence with natural leadership and the ability to bring others along in the work. You are confident in your role, humble in your approach, and thrive working closely with both colleagues and production. As a person, you are structured, solution-oriented, and driven by creating order, quality, and efficient working methods. You have an interest in developing and improving processes and are motivated by contributing to the team's common results, while also taking significant responsibility in the operational work. Furthermore, we see that you have:
- University education, e.g., Civil Engineer in Construction or equivalent experience
- Experience in drawing and design within prefabricated concrete or similar manufacturing industry
- Good understanding of standards, calculations, and production adaptation
- Experience leading or coordinating design work in projects
- Very good knowledge of CAD tools, preferably AutoCAD or Inventor
- Ability to work structured with quality and standardization
- Experience producing complete production drawings with a focus on tolerances, cover, reinforcement, embedded details, and surface finish
- Fluent Swedish and English in speech and writing
Experience with marine constructions is an advantage.
What does Anders Lindberg, CEO, say about the role and the company?
